Right! I am sore!!! I was still heading for the games feeling happy but then I guess I got really really REALLYYYYY bored waiting to be placed into the games. I played in set 2 and set 5. The wait was an hour apart. I was totally cooled off when I stepped in set 5. When I saw Liz took out her homework, I was so tempted to take out my laptop and start working too.
I just stopped work 10 mins ago. I can't do any numbers now. I received an email from a partner at 2am to tell me to go sleep and stop sending emails. But all my deadlines are tomorrow!!! Feel like cancelling my afternoon leave tomorrow already.
I think the best joke of tonight was when I came out of a rotation for our libero to go in, J said "nice one..." I wonder what's so nice about the 4 touches I just had with the ball - 3 being service and 1 touch that I can't even "ding" over the net. I didn't even managed to dig a ball in that rotation. I touched the ball 6 times in that set and only 1 chance to spike. Centre and Sub-set spikes more than the spiker's position. What to do? I suck!! Guess I'll do the same if I am the setter. But then I like Jas's spiking. The "sei" very nice leh. I can't achieve that. I actually enjoy watching her spikes and I know I'm not the only one. Hee...
Consolation? I played a decent set 5 and I still love the gals just too bad that I am not mature enough to handle the waiting games.
Throughout the evening, I keep reminding myself of my msn nick but that 1 hour wait really eats into me. I failed the test!
Maybe it's time to hang up my "boots". How many more years do I have to play this game? Not young anymore..
